Poem Blog

I can't go two minutes without someone asking what my favorite poem is. Ok so maybe no-one has ever asked, but in case you were going to here it is. It's by Spike Milligan but I always associate it with my friend Zina, as she loves this poem too. We actually wrote a poem together about our teacher when we were in Year 11. Poor Mr Thomas, I don't think it painted him in the best of lights. She read it to me quite recently and I laughed so hard I nearly pulled a muscle. It is amazing how much of your past you forget, makes me think keeping a diary isn't as sad and pathetic as I have always thought it was. I find diaries a little vain, she says as she continues to write her blog, and have never been able to get into the idea you should complain for pages and pages to a book each night. Hmm what do I know right? I also hate postcards so maybe I'm just genetically predisposed to bitterness and sarcasm?

On the Ning Nang Nong

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
and the monkeys all say BOO!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots jibber jabber joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So its Ning Nang Nong
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning
Trees go ping
Nong Ning Nang
The mice go Clang
What a noisy place to belong
is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!
